Overtaking on the right lane in agglomeration

Bericht door Arcalian »

Hi, I was wondering since you can choose the lane you're driving on inside an agglomeration, how are you supposed to overtake someone driving way below the maximum speed on the left lane? For example someone is driving at 35km/h on the left lane on a 50km/h street and I'm driving at 50km/h on the right lane do I have to slow down to 35 in order to not overtake him?
Thank you

On the right ...

When the car in the left lane indicates it wants to turn left, overtaking on the right is mandatory.

Under certain conditions, passing a car on the right isn't seen as overtaking within an agglomeration:

- on a one-way road divided in lanes
- on a road with 4 or more lanes, with at least 2 going in both directions
