Question 8646
Re: Question 8646
The answer is correct if it's due to an obstacle on the cycling path (or sidewalk)
That parking ban is only where the cyclists or pedestrians need to enter the roadway to bypass the obstacle
It's one of the many areas of inconsistencies in the Belgian highway code
You're confusing it with either :
- the ban on waiting and parking on the roadway within 5m in front of a cyclist (or pedestrian) crossing
or
- the ban on waiting and parking within 5m either side of where cyclists & moped drivers are obliged to enter or leave the cycling path from or towards the roadway
(due to where they legally have to ride or the cyclings path ending or starting)
